    The recent academic webinar brought together academics and researchers from West, Central, and North Africa to discuss adult learning and education (ALE) priorities, focusing on ALE funding in Africa, Participants were broken down into 3 French- and 1 English-speaking groups to discuss strategies for financing adult education in Africa, potential technical and financial partners, and ways to structure interventions to achieve desired outcomes. The agenda has included presentations, discussions, and group work focused on key questions related to funding sources, key actors, and implementation strategies. Participants explored the importance of integrating adult education into national policies, mobilizing diverse funding sources, engaging local communities, and leveraging technical and international partners. The discussions emphasized evidence-based advocacy, context-specific program design, and the use of digital platforms to expand professional networks and share knowledge. The webinar concluded with actionable recommendations to strengthen adult education systems, enhance collaboration, and ensure programs respond to the real needs of adult learners.
