My experience in adult learning and education
I started my career as a secondary school teacher before joining development work, which I have done for the last 15 years. My development work started with the Irish Embassy in Dar Es Salaam, where I served as Education Programme Executive with the Irish development arm (Development Cooperation Ireland) to oversee education work supported by the Irish Embassy across the country. Prior to that, I served as National Programme Coordinator with the Forum For African Women Educationalists (FAWE); before, with Action Aid Tanzania where I served in different capacities - Programme Officer, Programme Coordinator and Fundraising Manager. I am currently serving as Fundraising and Resource Acquisition lead with BRAC International Tanzania to oversee and manage Fundraising functions. I hold a Bachelor Degree in Education and am also trained in Social Accountability Monitoring from Rhodes University, South Africa, where I am also an Alumni. I have a broad range of knowledge in Strategic Planning Review, Leadership, Team Development, Monitoring and Evaluation, Institutional Capacity Building and Fundraising.
