My experience in adult learning and education
My background in social development and government work has exposed me to the broader adult education landscape. I’ve supported programmes involving youth and community development, many of which intersect with ALE goals such as skills development, employability, and lifelong learning. I’m particularly interested in how ALE can be applied in community contexts to empower people, especially those who didn’t benefit from formal education. I see ALE as inherently cross-sectoral, touching areas like health, employment, and civic engagement, and I’m eager to learn more and contribute meaningfully to its growth in South Africa.
