My experience in adult learning and education
For the three years I have served sponsored families in the FAL/ICOLEW programme, I have found it interesting, though challenging. I discovered that if you carry out accurate research, prepare instructional materials that suit participants' learning abilities, use very simple language, give respect, handle participants diligently, motivate them, appraise/reward them, great results can be achieved. However, I have also come to notice that there should be a big investment in mindset training for adult learners, supporting them in the case of their established income-generating activities as a means to enhance their incomes.
