My experience in adult learning and education
I am an accomplished social mobilisation expert with over 10 years of progressively responsible work experience in integrated rural development. My work has centred on the development and management of sustainable livelihood programs in rural communities with a special focus on strengthening the capacity of civil society organisations and government structures in social service delivery. I have worked with adolescents and youth school dropouts and illiterate rural women and men who never attended school to build their literacy and numeracy and life skills competencies through accelerated complementary basic education and integrated adult education programmes. This experience spans technical expertise in rights-based development approaches to improve the livelihoods of marginalized groups. My expertise derives from my broad knowledge through various roles played in facilitating programmes aimed at strengthening the resilience of marginalized groups.
