My experience in adult learning and education
I have developed a strong interest in adult learning and education through my lived experiences within my community in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. Accompanying my widowed mother to community gatherings exposed me to how marginalized adults, especially widows, are excluded from civic participation and informal learning spaces. This experience shaped my commitment to adult and community education as a tool for empowerment, social inclusion, and giving listening attention. My Master's Degree academic focus centers on lifelong learning, community-based education, and programs that support socially isolated adults. I am particularly interested in designing inclusive learning structures that promote dignity, participation, and social transformation.
