My experience in adult learning and education
Bacem HBAIEB is multilingual (Arabic, English, and French), holding a Master’s in educational and social sciences. He is also a civil society expert, youth and advocacy trainer, Human Rights activist, electoral education specialist, election monitoring expert and policy manager with 15 yeras working with various Tunisian, Arab, and International NGOs. A highly motivated, cretaive and versatile development and education (Both formal and non-formal) professional and organisational learning specialist, he has extensive knowledge of youth issues (with a special focus on the themes of « Access and Equity » in the fields of non-formal education, social and political inclusion, decision-making processes, election transparency, local democracy and decentralisation and youth empowerement).
His key skills and fields of expertise encompass civil society and youth (especially marginalised) empowerement, peacebuilding, conflict mitigation and mediation, and project management for youth-led intiatives. In the sector of sport and sport management, Bacem HBAIEB is an international Beach Volley-ball referee, a founding member of the Tunisan hockey and floorball federation, and an ex member of the Tunisian sport shooting and archery federation. He is involved with the Tunisian sport for all association with an objective of promoting new sports inclding Zoneball.
He holds an advanced degree in sports organisation management from the International Olympic Committee.
He is passionate about creative innovative, long-term and context appropriate solutions to pressing development and youth issues. He has a strong background in civic education, building teams, and defining scopes on how to best utilise Human Rights and Gender education in youth-related programs.
His work includes consulatncies and trainings (as trainer or trainee) with The Maghreb Economic Forum, Le Programme d’Appui à La Société Civile, The Civil Society Facility South, The Euro-Med Youth Platform, The National Democratic Institute, Amnesty International, The International Federation of Youth Hostels, The International Olympic Committee, The Carter Center, The International Institute of Education, and The Middle East Partnership Initiative.
