My experience in adult learning and education
Youth Net and Counselling is a youth focused, women and child serving organisation established in 1997 based in Malawi. Adult Literacy and Education is a key component within our programming. The integrated delivery includes Adult Literacy and Numeracy, Financial Literacy and economic strengthening. We support widows, women (caregivers) keeping orphans children and women who did not have the opportunity to attend formal education; girls who are vulnerable to child marriage, girls with parents who could not provide livelihood support to their children; vulnerable teen mothers, among others. YONECO trains community volunteers as Adult Literacy Facilitators and conducts sessions through Adult Literacy Circles.
