My experience in adult learning and education
Dr Lydia Shaketange is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Higher Education and Lifelong Learning at the University of Namibia. She specialises in Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) as an assessment tool for access to Higher Education. One of her articles assessed the Challenges and Opportunities for Implementing RPL at UNAM (2018). Dr Shaketange participated in the development of an RPL policy for the University of Namibia. Currently, she is developing the proposed guidelines for the assessment of RPL - to be considered as one of the pathways for entry to departmental programmes. Her research interests are in the areas of RPL, Lifelong Learning and Community Development.
