My experience in adult learning and education
After serving in the SAPS for 17 years, I returned to my passion for teaching. I began my academic journey at the University of the Western Cape in 2009, earning a Higher Diploma in Education, Training, and Development: Adult Learning in 2011. Later, I completed an Advanced Diploma for Educators of Adults, and I am currently pursuing a Master's in Adult Education and Global Change at UWC. I work at a Community Learning Centre under the Western Cape Community Education and Training College. Since 2012, I have been involved in the adult education sector, including the Kharigude Literacy Programme, where one of my learners was an 84-year-old.
