Join us for the upcoming Academic Meeting on Skills Development and Sustainable Livelihoods, hosted by Kenya, as part of our regional series grounded in Socially Engaged Scholarship. This webinar will explore innovative and practical approaches to youth livelihoods beyond the formal sector, and teaching financial literacy in Community Learning Centres (CLCs). These discussions form part of a broader collaborative agenda set by countries in East and Southern Africa, focusing on three regional priority areas.

The Mechanisms of Consolidation of Learning for New Literacy Students

Webinar Description: The skills acquired by newly literate youth and adults can quickly be lost if they are not maintained in a supportive environment. Establishing literate environments and continuous learning programs is therefore essential for consolidating the skills acquired by newly literate individuals. This webinar will highlight concrete experiences from Mali and Côte d'Ivoire regarding strategies, programs, and learning spaces that promote the consolidation of literacy and adult education skills.
